One wallet.
Many worlds.

Created by Decentral Inc., Jaxx Liberty set out to bring a growing collection of digital assets into one approachable place. For years, it offered a single interface for people finding their way into blockchain.

Its story is now part of crypto history. This page is an independent reference—not an official Jaxx service—and offers practical, security-first guidance for anyone who still has an old wallet.

A simpler front door
to blockchain.

Jaxx Liberty aimed to be a “browser for your digital assets”—a unified place to view, manage, and understand a diverse crypto portfolio.

01 / ACCESS

One experience,
across devices.

Available on Android, iOS, desktop platforms, and as a Chrome extension, Jaxx was designed to follow users between screens.

Real-time pricing, charts, and trend information made it easier to keep an eye on multiple assets from one dashboard.

03 / OWNERSHIP

Your keys.
Your control.

Jaxx was non-custodial: private keys were controlled by users, not held by the company. A 12-word phrase backed up the wallet.

Founded by Decentral Inc. The Toronto blockchain company was founded by Anthony Di Iorio.TORONTO

Self-custody
means self-responsibility.

Jaxx never held customer funds. Access depended on the secret phrase generated when the wallet was created.

A

The phrase is the key.

The 12-word backup phrase could restore a wallet on another device. Anyone with the phrase could potentially access the assets; losing it could mean permanently losing access.

B

Scammers imitate what’s gone.

Phishing sites have copied the old Jaxx identity and domain to lure former users. A page asking you to type your recovery phrase into a website is a serious red flag.

C

There is no Jaxx support desk.

The wallet is discontinued. Treat claims of official recovery, support, or migration services using the Jaxx name with extreme caution.

Have an old wallet?
Move with care.

If you still hold assets in a Jaxx wallet, the recovery phrase is yours to safeguard. Use it only within a trusted, operational wallet—and never share it with a person or website.

01

Verify the destination

Find a wallet through its official website or app store listing. Check the address carefully before downloading.

02

Import privately

Only restore within the official wallet application on a device you trust. Never paste your phrase into a browser page.

03

Confirm, then secure

Verify your assets in the new wallet. Keep your backup offline and protected; do not discard your original backup too soon.

OPTIONS TO RESEARCH

Edge Wallet and Exodus were cited as migration options. Always confirm current support and instructions directly with each provider.

Still have
questions?

Is Jaxx Liberty still available?

No. Jaxx Liberty was discontinued on March 27, 2023. The former official website now redirects to Edge Wallet; Jaxx Liberty itself is no longer supported.

Can I still recover assets from an old Jaxx wallet?

Users with their 12-word backup phrase may be able to restore compatible assets in a trusted, operational wallet. Compatibility varies by wallet and asset. Never enter your phrase into a website or give it to anyone claiming to help.

Is a website offering Jaxx Liberty downloads legitimate?

Assume any current Jaxx Liberty download or recovery website is unsafe. The service is discontinued, and phishing operations target former users with lookalike sites and fake migration prompts.

The most important thing to remember

Your recovery phrase belongs
to you alone.
